Color Deficiency Testing

Color Deficiency Testing is required for all employees that perform qualitative testing where sensitivity to color recognition determines the result of the test (eg., Urine Chemistry 2, 7, or 10). Employees must pass the color deficiency test before or during initial training in order to be approved to perform color sensitive tests. This color deficiency test is only required one time and the result is kept on file in the Clinical Laboratory's Point of Care Testing Services database.

For inquiries about staff members that have successfully passed Color Deficiency Testing, please contact POCT Services.
