PURPOSE OF TEST
Detection of fern-type amniotic fluid crystallization as an aid in detection of ruptured amniotic membranes in pregnant women. The test is often used in conjunction with vaginal pH determination by AmnioTest® or pH paper.

INITIAL ORIENTATION, TRAINING & COMPETENCY
Initial Orientation & Training: See your designated PPMP Physician Champion for Orientation and Training
Competency: Have your designated PPMP Physician Champion enroll you in the online PPMP coursework for PPMP Testing (MTS software program). With a passing score, this testing fulfills two of the required competency assessment methods. There are four additional required competency assessment methods to fulfill.
