PURPOSE OF TEST
The BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card is a lateral flow immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in direct anterior nasal (nares) swabs from individuals suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within the first seven days of symptom onset.

INITIAL ORIENTATION, TRAINING & COMPETENCY
Initial Orientation & Training – This must be completed (once) with all new staff trained to use this test.
Competency Test – This must be completed by all testing personnel 1) After initial training and before technical duties are performed; 2) 6 months after initial training (California Law); and 3) annually thereafter.
