PURPOSE OF TEST
Rapid, semi-quantitative measurement of multiple urine chemistry parameters at the point of care. The test is useful in the initial evaluation and monitoring of renal, urinary, and metabolic disorders. The Clinitek Status+ analyzer allows for results to be read automatically and is not reliant on the end user to accurately interpret color grades on the Multistix strips.

INITIAL ORIENTATION, TRAINING & COMPETENCY
Initial Orientation & Training – This must be completed (once) with all new staff trained to use this test and analyzer.
Competency Test – This must be completed by all testing personnel 1) after initial training and before technical duties are performed; 2) 6 months after initial training; and 3) annually thereafter. This is based on California Law.
