Multistix Urine Chemistries require quality control testing (QC) to be run weekly by qualified testing personnel. The KOVA Liqua-Trol QC solutions come in two distinct levels: Level I (Abnormal) and Level II (Normal). Control solutions are required to be stored at 2°-8°C and are good to use until the expiration date located on the label of the vials. DO NOT FREEZE. Prior to use, QC solutions must be removed from the refrigerator and warmed for 15 minute to room temperature (18°-30°C). Lot numbers and expiration dates found on the vials of KOVA Liqua-Trol should be the same as the lot numbers and expiration dates on the record form. If additional QC solution is needed, please notify POCT Services.
